How much will an attorney cost me?  That is a question all clients ask – and for good reason.  It is an important question.  All attorneys have an obligation to fully answer that question to prospective clients.  But this is not the first question that you should ask.  An even more important question – and one you should ask first – is,
How much will not having an attorney cost me?
Dealing with insurance companies without an attorney is like playing three card monte with a savvy street hustler.  Sounds great.  Then when the dust settles you realize that you’ve been had.  Maybe there were deductions such as payments to your health insurance or doctor/hospital bills –  even worse, maybe the medical providers have attached the whole thing.  Maybe you find that the claim you settled for pennies on the dollar would have been covered in full if only you had known about the other insurance that covered your loss.  Or maybe you simply realize that the pain you’ve had to endure is not worth the money you’ve received.
I am so confident that I can get you a significantly better outcome that you can get by yourself that I make the following pledge.
AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW MY ADVICE, YOU WILL NEVER LOOSE MONEY BY RETAINING ME IN A PERSONAL INJURY CASE.  IF I CANNOT GET A BETTER RECOVERY FOR YOU THAN THE RECOVERY YOU WOULD HAVE REALIZED REPRESENTING YOURSELF, I WILL WAIVE MY FEES – AND RELATED COSTS -- TO THE EXTENT REQUIRED TO ALLOW YOU TO RECOVER WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE WITHOUT MY REPRESENTATION.
My standard fee is 33 1/3 percent of the gross recovery.  In medical malpractice cases I charge 40% if they go to trial because of the significant expense involved and because of the risky nature of medical malpractice litigation.   I am willing to reduce my fee in a number of instances.  If you have a written offer from an insurance company to settle your claim I will agree to take your case and charge you 40% of what I can recover in excess of the written offer.  Alternatively, if you want to quickly settle your claim I will agree to reduce my fee in relation to the work required – 25%, 20%, maybe even as low as 15% -- depending on the swiftness of the settlement.
My goal is to leave you satisfied – and to obtain for you a truly fair and just recovery after all fees and costs.
